The following were tested in Ubuntu 18.04 and Ubuntu 20.04
- place a copy of the corrupted wallet and name it wallet.dat in ~/.groestlcoin
- wget https://github.com/Groestlcoin/groestlcoin/releases/download/v2.21.0/groestlcoin-2.21.0-x86_64-linux-gnu.tar.gz
- tar -zxvf groestlcoin-2.21.0-x86_64-linux-gnu.tar.gz
- cd groestlcoin-2.21.0\bin
- .\groestlcoin-wallet.exe salvage (an automatic backup file will be created: wallet.dat.xxxxxxxxxx.bak)
- Open Groestlcoin Core. It will start rescanning from the start and will take a long time. Just keep it running.
The following were tested on Windows 10
- Download and install: https://github.com/Groestlcoin/groestlcoin/releases/download/v2.21.0/groestlcoin-2.21.0-win64-setup-unsigned.exe
- place a copy of the corrupted wallet and name it wallet.dat in %appdata%\Groestlcoin
- windows button + r
- powershell
- cd\
- cd '.\Program Files\Groestlcoin\daemon\'
- .\groestlcoin-wallet.exe salvage (an automatic backup file will be created: wallet.dat.xxxxxxxxxx.bak)
- Open Groestlcoin Core. It will start rescanning from the start and will take a long time. Just keep it running

- tar -zxvf groestlcoin-2.21.0-osx64.tar.gz
- cd groestlcoin-2.21.0\bin
- .\groestlcoin-wallet.exe salvage (an automatic backup file will be created: wallet.dat.xxxxxxxxxx.bak)
- Open Groestlcoin Core. It will start rescanning from the start and will take a long time. Just keep it running.
