What graphic card are you using?

If it is AMD, try to remove the config file and start sgminer only with bat file.

BAT File:
sgminer -k groestlcoin -o stratum+tcp://grs.suprnova.cc:5544 -u BitsOfSteel.worker1 -p x -I 21

-I is for intensity, choose 16 to 23, try yourself which works best.

I had the problem that with my R9 270x i could not mine for a while, because of a lot of HW Errors.
Now it is working, doing abount 14Mh/s, i use sgminer but with modified .bin

Starting sgminer in CMD with:
c:\sgminer\sgminer.exe -k groestlcoin -o stratum+tcp://grs.suprnova.cc:5544 -u (user) -p (password) -I 19

i have modified the .bin with:
