- if you replace Groestlsend with " Polymorphic code to resist Asic " the code change to make impossible for asic , will be good idea not dropping but replacing (people has psychological by droping =
) , i am not programmer i don't know if this idea is possible but in computer nothing is impossible .
Somme Innovation do not kill!!!
Let me elaborate:
Asic resistance/anti asic is not a reason to buy/sell Groestlcoin, it's a reason to mine.
If a coin matures, they will get ASICs as an ASIC is just a purpose specific computer and they can always outperform general purpose computers. There are Asics for Sha256, Scrypt, Scrypt-N and X11 at this moment. Also using Groestl isn't FPGA resistant because X11 has ASICs and uses groestl as one of its algos. Single algorithms are NOT ASIC resistant and will never be. If a coin is succesfull enough then company's will make asics for it, period.
We never said we don't like innovation but we need to find our OWN niche not try and cash in on other niches.
