How to install Groestlcoin Core from Ubuntu Launchpad

The following were tested in Ubuntu 14.04 and Ubuntu 16.04 Desktop LTS, some dependencies can be different in other distros

  • Open terminal
  • sudo apt-add-repository ppa:groestlcoin/groestlcoin
  • Provide your user password to continue
  • Press enter
  • sudo apt-get update
  • sudo apt-get install groestlcoin-qt
  • Optional: sudo apt-get install groestlcoind groestlcoin-tx groestlcoin-wallet groestlcoin-util

To start Groestlcoin Core GUI, click the Ubuntu swirl icon to open the Dash, type "groestlcoin", and click the Groestlcoin icon
